Since we recently moved, our drawers are in pretty good shape. One way I found to maximize the space needed for hairbrushes–that’s worked really well–is to store them handle-to-handle. That is, put the handles together in opposite directions; that way, the bulkier bristle ends don’t compete for space!

I agree! If we built another house, I’d do some deep drawers in the vanity. Most of the things I use are upright on the countertop organizer and it does help!

Good idea of arranging paper templates before ordering. I think I would put a drawer liner under in each entire drawer, with the outlines of each little bin and a label or photo of contents. Could print a drawing for layout, or print an actual photo, too, and use that. If a compartment is emptied… You have a visual key.
